Set foot off park and you’re on the doorstep of Minster Leas beach. The peaceful promenade is excellent for dog walking, leisurely strolling and cycling Kent’s charming coast. Nip down the road and you’re at Leysdown, whose breathtaking beach and excellent waters have won it Blue Flag status.
Take the short stroll into the centre of Minster for a lovely collection of independent shops and cafés, as well as the Abbey Gatehouse Museum and Eastchurch Aviation Museum — two hallmarks of the history of this beautiful isle.
For nature, wildlife, walking and cycling, step into not one but two dog-friendly National Nature Reserves located on the Isle of Sheppey — Swale and Elmley. We’d also encourage any fans of woodland to check out the Bredgar & Wormshill Railway!
Then, for action-packed family fun, try Curly’s Farm, Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit or Creed Outdoor Centre. Fish for carp and bream at well-stocked angling lakes, explore Sheerness’ restored music hall and walk the ancient Saxon Shore Way.

Do some of your family members stand on four furry legs? If so, bring them all along — Hollybush Farm is completely pet-friendly. What’s more, there’s even a dog walking field and grooming parlour just nearby!
Rover will absolutely love strolling along Minster Leas promenade or, when the tide’s out, stick chasing along the award-winning sands. Then there’s the dog-friendly Swale and Elmley Nature Reserve; and endless treasure trove of walkies opportunities.
Don’t forget to call in at one of many dog-friendly local pubs and taverns after your adventures, of course. A couple right on our doorstep include The Beach Bar and The Highlander; you’re guaranteed of a friendly Kent welcome.
We welcome up to two dogs per visit. If you’ve got more, just let us know — it should be absolutely fine.

Whilst it was almost impossible to whittle it down, here are a few of our favourite things to do…
Swale & Elmley National Nature Reserves — perhaps the jewels in Sheppey’s crown, explore walking trails, waterways and wildlife right on our doorstep. Whether you’re on two legs or four, these dog-friendly nature reserves put you right at one with nature.
Leysdown — another pup-friendly favourite, this little resort epitomises a Great British coastal holiday — a charming little village, award-winning beach and plenty of shops and amusements to wind the day away in. Only 10 minutes from Hollybush Farm!
Harty — the Isle of Harty walking trail guides you through Kent’s crisp countryside, with charming cottages, pubs and churches abound. Be sure to stop by St. Thomas the Apostle, Harty’s church — a picture-postcard hidden gem.
Eastchurch Aviation Museum — with Sheppey considered the ‘cradle of aviation’, just a five-minute drive from Hollybush Farm is proof of this proud history of powered flight pioneering.
Minster Abbey Gatehouse Museum — for a delightful dose of local history, take the short walk to Minster and marvel at this 1,000-year-old, grade I-listed building. Check out their activities, too — there’s usually year-round fun to be had for the little ones!
Curly’s Farm — an amazing, independently Sheppey hidden gem. This 10-acre farm gives kids of all ages the chance to get stuck into farm life, feeding and handling livestock. With a large indoor barn, it’s all-weather, too.
Bredgar & Wormshill Railway — for Kent’s glorious countryside and ancient woodland — as well as some historic steam trains — take the short 25-minute drive from our park.
Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit — who’s the fastest kart driver in the family? If you fancy yourself as a bit of a whizz behind the wheel, just a quarter-hour car drive away is this excellent floodlit circuit.
Saxon Shore Way — tracing the south east coast and stretching from Gravesend to Hastings, this 153-mile stretch of walking trail offers an abundance of diverse scenery — from chalk and sandstone cliffs to breathtaking marshland expanses.
