Stay with us here in Mawgan Porth, a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature, just minutes from Cornwall’s stunning beaches.
Nestled in 14 acres, our holiday park offers a serene walk through the River Menalhyl woodlands, leading to Mawgan Porth’s dog-friendly beach. Just cross the stream at the bottom of our park and enjoy a 15 minute stroll to see the sea. You can hire a beach trolley to carry your belongings down to Mawgan Porth, but back at the park, we offer a variety of free items to borrow, including wooden belly boards and a full beach toy library.

Whether you’re catching waves or spotting surfers from the shore, Newquay is just a five-mile journey away.
Mawgan Porth offers excellent pubs and eateries like Merrymoor Inn and of course, our most local beach.
Padstow and its iconic harbour is just a 15 minute drive from Sun Haven.
Eden Project, just 35 mins from Sun Haven, delights plant enthusiasts with diverse species in lush gardens.
Nestled just up the road from our park is a tranquil oasis inspired by the East, complete with Water Gardens, a Stroll garden, and a Zen Garden.
Enjoy an adults only day out to a small batch gin tour a short taxi ride away.
As an emergency replacement accommodation this June we stayed at short notice at Sun Haven Holiday Park, Mawgan Porth. Dog friendly, very helpful staff, in a great quiet, calm location just 30 minutes stroll away from the beach. Good little shop, all sorts of doggy treats, friendly and welcoming staff in their small but welcoming bar. Holiday home was clean, spacious and well equipped with a decking veranda overlooking the fishing pond site and open hillsides.
We loved it and are going back next year !
We have been going as a couple to what is now called “sun haven valley” site for just under 60 years. In our early days we shared our camping with a flock of sheep.It was known as “Gluvian” back then. We have always loved coming here and have never failed to walk to the beach and to Saint Mawgan (and the Falcon pub) which are both lovely walks. We without fail walk around St Mawgan. The caravans and lodges are always beautifully prepared and cared for. Our daughters and their families also love the place and also have also stayed here with their own families. We hope to be able to continue to visit in the future for as long as possible. We totally recommend it.
The park at Sunhaven is beautifully landscaped and maintained to a high standard.. It’s our favourite place to be in Cornwall, a walk through the woods to the beach with the dogs is a real pleasure for all concerned. The beach is spectacular with a river flowing to the sea. What could be better than a walk and a play with the dogs followed by a pint at the Merrymoor pub which is literally a stones throw to the beach.
