Our stunning Sheppey surroundings — history, coastline & nature abound.
Step off our luxury caravan and holiday park and you’ve got Sheppey’s peaceful meadows and waterways at your fingertips.
There’s not one but two nature reserves on our lovely little isle. For that at-one-with-nature, secluded wilderness sort of feel, make time for a day trip to both Swale National Nature Reserve and Elmley National Nature Reserve.
Whether you prefer to explore on foot or on two wheels, there’s no shortage of idyllic, wildlife-filled walking trails, cycle paths and bridleways. For a more coast-focused adventure, head to our neighbouring beach, Minster Leas, or even to Leysdown and its gorgeous Blue Flag beach, whose sands and town provide the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of relaxation.
There’s also so much history on Sheppey. Recognised as the birthplace of British aviation, be sure to visit Eastchurch Aviation Museum and the volunteer-run Blue Town Heritage Centre — a fascinating insight into the history of maritime Sheppey.
Endless on-park amenities, activities & family fun.
Whilst there’s so much to do just outside the gates of Golden Leas, if you’re feeling like a recharge-your-batteries kind of day — or the weather takes a turn for the worse — there’s everything you need for a great day right on-park.
With two outdoor heated swimming pools, amusements, a stunning refurbished owners’ lounge, live music and entertainment as well as our on-park bistro and bar, you’ll never be stuck for something to do. We even have our own vegetable patch! For the little ones, there’s a children’s play area and kids’ club — that’s if they’re not itching to go and build sandcastles.
If you’re considering a home-from-home in Sheppey, we’d love for you to pay our award-winning, owners-only park a visit.
The place to be for those on four legs.
There’s nothing worse than having to make plans to leave behind beloved furry family members. Fortunately, at Golden Leas, everyone’s welcome — so you can return time and again with Fido.
There’s no shortage of pup-friendly opportunities for exploration. One of our favourite walkies nearby is the Swale Nature Reserve Loop from The Brents. That’s if you’re not indulging in a bit of stick chasing along the dog-friendly Minster Leas and Leysdown beaches…
Be sure to call in at the dog-friendly Beach Bar for some tasty food and a refreshment — a leisurely half hour from our park on foot.
We’re a completely dog-friendly caravan and holiday park, welcoming up to two dogs per visit, with any more at the discretion of our friendly team. We’re directly opposite a dog walking field and grooming parlour, which means your furry friend can be as well exercised as they are groomed!
