Our Shepherd’s Huts with hot tubs: a rustic, luxury experience.

Historically, these aptly-named buildings provided Victorian-era shepherds with shelter from the elements as they tended to flocks during wintry weather of lambing season on the downs of Southern England. We’re delighted to bring this quintessentially rural English heritage and charm to our parks by offering holidays in bespoke Shepherd’s Huts. Whilst these iconic buildings contained everything the shepherd needed to get their head down and not much more — a stove, bed and sitting area — ours are a slightly more luxury proposition as they each come with a hot tub in the private garden. Just to help you completely unwind...

Uniquely British & handcrafted: Shepherd's Huts with hot tubs

Built in Dorset by masters of traditional carpentry techniques, our huts incorporate solid hardwood timbers throughout for the floors, windows, shutters, cabinetry, beds and kitchens. Species include English oak, European oak and poplar — all sustainably sourced.

Look out for the leather straps which stop the Dutch doors from swinging back; these have been handcrafted by a bridle maker in Dorset, whilst the window and door latches have been forged over organic charcoal by a blacksmith, providing a wonderfully imperfect and tactile quality.

No mass production here; each is bespoke to our parks. Look out for the traditional shepherd’s hook (for his crook) on the beam in the middle of the Shepherd’s Hut.

Sleeping up to 4 people, our huts have an ultra-cosy bunk bed that converts to seating for the day, with a top bunk that ingeniously folds down against the wall. There’s a wee ladder that slots against the wall next to the kitchen for the day. With its safety rail, the top bunk might be more suited to those aged over seven.

A springboard for exploring Cornwall…

Not only do we have a range of delightful Shepherd’s Huts at Sun Haven — nestled beside a gently burbling stream and woods — but we’re in the perfect place for enjoying Cornwall at its very best.

Step off park for a morning walk along Mawgan Porth’s Blue Flag beach, or peruse this lovely small seaside village’s selection of shops and places to eat. Or even slip into the wetsuit and hit the white water waves of Fistral beach. For seaside family fun, Newquay’s not far away.

The cuisine capital of Cornwall, Padstow — with Rick Stein’s four incredible seafood eateries — is just up the road too. Within equally easy reach are all of Cornwall’s big-ticket attractions – The Lost Gardens, Tintagel Castle, St. Michael’s Mount, The Eden Project.

Fancy a different sort of accommodation?

Quirky, incredible and out-of-the-ordinary as our Shepherd’s Huts are, you might be after something slightly different.

For alternative types of glamping fun, we also offer safari tent holidays at Green Hill Farm, nestled in the historic woodland of the New Forest.

At many of our holiday parks, you also have the chance to step into a cosy holiday home or spacious lodge. Or, for that at-one-with-nature sense of escape, bring along your tent poles or tourer.

However your family prefers to get away, join us at one of our stunning holiday parks across Cornwall, the New Forest and Norfolk for an unforgettable escape.

From the glistening waterways of The Broads to the ornamental tree top canopies of Wiltshire to the panoramic sand dunes of Cornwall, we’re at the heart of some of Britain’s most cherished beauty spots.

Bring your furry family members along too, of course — all of our holiday parks are totally pet friendly.

    An unforgettable escape.
