What Our Owners Really Want: Insights from the 2025 Lovat Parks Ownership Survey

From peaceful escapes to pooch-friendly spaces, here’s what we learned from our 2025 Ownership Survey and how we’re continuing to shape the Lovat experience around our growing ownership community.

Who Took Part?

In January and February 2025, we invited all of our owners to share their views with us through an anonymous survey. We were thrilled to receive 95 responses from owners across our our holiday parks.

At Lovat Parks, we believe in putting our owners at the heart of everything we do. That’s why, earlier this year, we reached out to our holiday home owners across the country to hear their thoughts on what truly matters when choosing a park to call their home away from home.

How Far Would You Travel for a Slice of Holiday Bliss?

We found a beautifully even spread in how far owners were willing to travel to get to their holiday home, with a gentle lean toward those coming from over three hours away. For many, it seems, the journey is part of the joy—and worth it to reach their happy place.

Holiday Homeowners, Old and New

One of our favourite findings? 70% of our owners have never owned a holiday home before—not even bricks and mortar! For most, this is their first step into ownership, and we’re honoured they’ve chosen to begin that journey with Lovat Parks.

And of those who selected “other” when asked about ownership history, many were already familiar faces—existing owners at one of our established parks who decided to stay with the Lovat family. That kind of loyalty means the world to us.

Choosing the Perfect Location

When it comes to picking the right spot, our owners know what they want:

  • 41% said “we knew the area and exactly where we wanted to be.”
  • 28% told us they “loved the area in general, but weren’t sure exactly where to be based.”
  • 35% were drawn in by what the area had to offer, like beautiful coastal scenery or charming countryside walks.

Whether it’s falling in love with a specific village or simply being pulled in by the coast, location really is everything.

What Amenities Matter Most?

When we asked owners to rank park features in order of preference, the results spoke volumes:

  • Dog-friendly facilities came out top, with 56% ranking this as their number one priority. Paws up to that!
  • Peace and quiet was a strong second, followed closely by a sense of community—something we hold dear at every Lovat Park.
  • It’s clear that our owners are seeking space to recharge, reconnect and spend quality time—on their terms.

Choosing Time for You

Interestingly, 43% of respondents told us they only visit Lovat Parks. That’s not just loyalty—it’s a lifestyle choice. We’re so grateful you’ve made us your sanctuary.

A Perfect Weekend at a Holiday Home?
