We provide a clear breakdown of upkeep running expenses each season, including annual site fees, non-domestic rates, water charges, and gas/electric bills. These are reviewed annually in November and notified to owners for the following season. We’re open year-round for owners, with a 100 year licence, the most competitive in the Fowey area. Financing options are available through Santander. To cover costs, many owners use our fully managed letting service, Love To Let, for hassle free holiday lets.

Communication with Sam & her colleagues prior to our arrival was extremely helpful. On arrival Sam was very welcoming, and it was a pleasure chatting to her throughout our stay, giving us recommendations for days out and places to eat. The lodge itself was spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. It was warm & cosy in the evening without the need to have the heating on. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to sit on the veranda in the early evening enjoying a glass of something! watching the sun go down 😎 The ferry to Fowey, either as a foot passenger or taking the car, is just a few minutes away making it easy to explore the surrounding area. I would definitely return and thoroughly recommend a stay at Penmarlam Lodge.
Excellent all round on this quiet site which has a small shop. Foot and car ferry access nearby to Fowey. Good road link to Looe. S. W. Coast Path nearby.
Brilliant, calming and everyone was super helpful. Definitely a place to revisit off season.
Very clean & well equipped lodges – have stayed several times & never been disappointed with the quality of the lodge interiors. There is almost everything you could possibly need provided, my only niggled is that instruction leaflets for the appliances would be helpful. Have been holidaying in Fowey & Bodinnick for decades and over the years have stayed in about every hotel. I think the Lovat Lodges offer a better experience & are also better value too. Finally, I have always found the stall on site at Penmarlem incredibly helpful and pleasant.
We had a fantastic weekend at Penmarlam Lodge Retreat! The lodge was spotless and equipped with everything we needed, including super comfy beds. The hot tub was a highlight – a big thank you to Phil for taking the time to show us how it worked and for checking it every morning to ensure it was perfect. The location is amazing; one day we took the ferry to Fowey, and on Sunday, we enjoyed a delicious roast at The Ferry Inn in Polruan. The on-site shop was well-stocked, and the team were so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to return!
