Despite its relatively small size, Cornwall is blessed with a breathtaking range of attractions and natural landmarks.
It wouldn’t be a luxury lodge holiday in Cornwall without soaking up the sea breeze — Mawgan Porth, Gwithian, Perranporth and the sands of Hayle and St. Ives are unmissable. North Cornwall, in particular, is blessed with opportunities to catch some surf — head to Fistral, Harlyn Bay or Polzeath for white water fun.
A day trip around The Seven Bays — stretching from Mawgan Porth to Padstow — is a great way to escape to the coast, be at one with nature and experience everything that makes Cornwall so great.
You might want to make your beach day part of a trip into town. Newquay, St. Ives, Hayle, Falmouth, Fowey, Looe, Padstow, Truro, Port Isaac all offer character, history — and a great fish supper.
You could take time to catch a Shakespeare show at the iconic, open-air Minack Theatre, or head to the world-famous Eden Project for a day out with the kids that’s as educational as it is mindblowing. If you’re staying at Padstow, we’d recommend an evening at one of many excellent seafood eateries in town — Rick Stein has no fewer than four restaurants in town!
Discover tales of smuggling sea shenanigans at the Jamaica Inn, or explore the recently-restored Lost Gardens of Heligan, cross the causeway to St. Michael’s Mount or soak up history at Tintagel or Pendennis Castles. There’s just so much to do, see and taste in Cornwall.
