While both our lodges and holiday homes, which we call caravans, offer a place to rest your head after long walks through the New Forest, there are key differences between our two most popular accommodation types. Lodges, such as those at Green Hill Farm, offer more spacious living areas, providing more room to spread out. Our lodges stand out for their size, surpassing most of our holiday homes. With features like full-size twin rooms—unlike caravans where you often have to squeeze between beds to tuck kids in—along with utility rooms, en suites, hot tubs, and extra picturesque settings within our parks, our lodges offer the perfect blend of relaxation and space to return to after woodland adventures.

Our holiday homes, on the other hand, feature a smaller floor plan, and amenities may vary. For example, you’ll need to refer to our accommodation guide to see if they include some of the luxuries, such as decking or hot tubs.

What makes Green Hill Farm unique is that it’s actually situated in the New Forest. You go through the gate at the bottom of our park and on the other side are the New Forest ponies. We also have deer come in to drink at our lake, while plenty of ducks and geese call our lakes their home. Nature literally on the doorstep of your holiday lodge.

From fully equipped kitchens to spacious living areas, each lodge is designed to offer a comfortable and convenient stay. If you prefer to dine outside, many of the lodges come with outdoor decking areas and BBQs, perfect for al fresco meals. And of course, for the ultimate relaxation, many of the lodges feature private hot tubs, giving you the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure. 

A lot of families come to the New Forest for the activities and we have a big ranger programme here at Green Hill Farm. You can hire bikes and segways. We also have a zip wire, archery, bungee trampolining and table tennis. There’s den making, fire building and bug hunting with our trained forest rangers.

For evenings, we’ve got our own pizzeria called Ember and the Rockingham Arms is our favourite for pub grub just down the road. While our shop by reception does fresh bread and newspapers to order for every day of your stay.

Green Hill Farm is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with easy access to a variety of walking routes that showcase the best of the New Forest. On our park, dogs can be let off the lead in our ‘dog exercise field’ opposite reception. Feel free to borrow a tennis ball from the basket for your dog to enjoy in the field. A popular spot for dog walkers off park is Canada common, accessible via the gate at the back of the park. Dogs do have to remain on leads as this is a public area with lots of wildlife.
