When Lovat Parks was founded in 2018, we knew this couldn’t be business as usual. That’s why in 2020, we became the first UK holiday park to be B Corp certified. From big initiatives like aiming for zero waste across all our parks to the little Lovat details like sourcing local produce for our shops, we’re always looking for ways to innovate and we’re proud to be leading this movement for change in our industry.

Our B Corp scores rose from 82.4 in 2020 to 91.1 upon recertification at the beginning of 2024. We’re proud to contribute to making B Corp travel a reality in the UK. It’s been a great strategic operation, where we’ve considered absolutely everything to do with the running of our parks in great detail. All this is so you can relax — you’re on holiday, after all!

Positive Impact Report
B Corp stands for Better Corporations. The idea is simple: it’s a movement of businesses who want to be a force for good, using their work to benefit people, communities and the planet.
It sounds simple enough. The complicated bit, however, is becoming a B Corp: it means opening up your whole business to rigorous inspection and hitting targets that prove you’re really doing what you say you will.
Our aim is to offer a home from home in these special places. We’ve ensured there’s somewhere for everyone: from holiday homes to safari tents to luxurious lodges available to book or buy. We aim to address the housing crisis by offering luxury lodges and holiday homes for sale , allowing second home ownership without overwhelming the housing markets for local communities. We’ve collaborated with Heatherwick Studio to develop architectural blueprints and park layouts that prioritise community and environmental harmony. We’re striving for carbon neutrality and self-sufficient energy systems while exploring the potential of trialling PPV for our caravans.
We’re dedicated to sustainability through measures like food waste schemes, wormeries, beach toy libraries, and recycling schemes. We’re replacing single-use water bottles with reusables and installing water refill stations. We use gravel or hoggin for water absorption, indigenous materials for pathways, and prioritise native planting to enhance CO2 sequestration and wildlife habitats. In 2023, we added 214 trees, 1755m² of wildflowers, and 734m² of other planting at our Cornish parks. To reduce energy consumption and improve guest comfort, we’re installing solar panels at Sun Haven, as well as smart meters, EV charging points, improved insulation, and double glazing.
From the big to the little Lovat details, we’re always making changes to our offering so it benefits people and the planet. It’s all in the finishing touches you see on our parks — reusable wooden body boards, water refill stations, eco dog poop bags — but also everything behind the scenes: plumbing systems, waste disposal and even the fabric in our signature navy uniforms.
We’re committed to teaming up with partners who share our vision for a brighter future and are as passionate about the planet as we are. We’ve partnered with Honest Mobile for mobile connectivity, Cotswold Fayre for sustainable products, and One Water for eco-friendly, reusable, water bottles- replacing all single-use water bottles in our park shops! Dick Pierce offers wooden body boards to combat polystyrene pollution with free hire at our coastal parks. Big Potato games also support our Board Game Libraries for fun whatever the weather and can be purchased in our park shops too including in travel sizes. Then there’s fellow B Corp TrueStart Coffee, offering specialty-grade coffee with a 25% discount online for all our guests.
At Lovat Parks, we’re committed to giving back to our beautiful planet. That’s why we’re thrilled to share our partnership with Treefo and Ecologi. We’re planting 50 trees worldwide every month—no matter what! But we believe we can do even more, and that’s where you come in.

Great place to pitch up for a summer surfing holiday. Very clean and presentable with all the amenities you could need. Good surf locally and a good central location for easy access to hotspots. Staff are always on point, friendly and welcoming, we plan to go back again in 2025, that will make it our 4th visit.
