Measuring and Reducing Our Output: Lovat Parks’ Sustainability Progress

At Lovat Parks, we know that what gets measured, gets improved. In 2024, we continued tracking energy, water, and waste across all our parks comparing performance to our 2022 baseline.

The results were encouraging:

  • Energy: Significant reductions in electricity usage, with Scope 2 electricity savings equivalent to the carbon emissions of 30 Blue Whales.
  • Waste: We drastically reduced landfill contributions and boosted organic composting by 227%, giving back to the earth in the process.
  • Recycling: Expanded infrastructure and reporting improvements mean more materials are being diverted from waste streams into sustainable reuse.

All of this progress is data-led enabling our teams to make informed decisions about energy use, water efficiency, and waste management. Team education has also played a key role, ensuring everyone understands the impact of their daily choices.

đź’š Committed to 2030 Net Zero

These achievements are steps toward our 2030 Net Zero goal. Every reduction in energy, every tonne of waste diverted, and every drop of water saved brings us closer to a future where Lovat Parks operates sustainably, responsibly, and in harmony with the environment. Our 2024 progress proves that measuring, educating, and investing creates real change and that our holiday parks can be both enjoyable and environmentally responsible.
